  • Katan, "Old Man" (R7)- lives/hides in the vast swamp south of the Coast road between Cormyr and Sembia. Hlaupa - his cat (bobcat hybrid). Boat (large mimic that really likes Katan, takes the occasional fish). It destroyed the boat Katan first built and was intending on eating him till it figured out it could get fed every day when Katan went fishing. It has since grown to love him. Bog Monster - childlike guardian spirit of the Vast Swamp. Campestri - numerous small mushroom people. They take care of Katan, making sure he gets enough exercise.
  • Khemed - Calishite sorcer, Zhentarim. A prankster and glutton of drink and women. A dangerous foe.

  • Solom Ned'razak - Archmage of the Inverted Tower, Szith Morcane. A pleasant fellow with the calm aire of a very dangerous advesary. Luckily he seems content with matters of The Art, and not conquest.

  • Urich, Fourth Fane of the Bone Tower - necromancer that patrols the Dagger Hills out of the Bone Tower
  • Wolverston - "The Broken" of Yulash. Possibly a former member of the Ravens that once held the Citadel of the Raven till it was brutally taken by the Zhentarim. Wolverston was once known as "the Wolf" for his savage fighting ability and steel grey eyes.
  • Vanya - daughter of Daravil, lives in a walking castle in the Outlands
  • Vestele - female half-elven fighter, Zhentarim, does the bidding of Darvin and is a great commander of troops. She brooks no disobedience. She often is ready with a plan and is always thinking tactically.
