Glesk Family CrestBackground Details: Blaylen grew up in the lands of Owlhold. Blaylen has a love of the land and fellow Owlen. Early on he helped his family and the adventurers that make their home in Owlhold keep the area safe. He mainly served as a scout for ambushes against enemies of the land such as slavers, bandits and followers of Malar. Since nearly all such adversaries were human he has become quite adept in dealing with them [species enemy human] and is familiar with guerilla warfare and working with spellcasters.

Just after Blaylen's centennial birthday he decided he wanted to see more of the world. He journeyed to the north end of the Bowshot and worked as a performer at the Four Stags Inn. There he learned much of the world beyond from the many travelers and also picked up a couple of human tongues. On several occasions his alertness helped stop the depredations of bandits and Blaylen eventually headed south at the request of Aumrundan Rulhorn to watch for evil doers at the other end of the Bowshot.

Blaylen spent the last 20 years learning bowcrafting from Jlonkin the Bowyer of Fallenfalcon. While learning his craft Blaylen lived in an old domed ruin of ancient Oelerhode about a half-hour's walk from Fallenfalcon.

Blaylen's HelmetAs a young adult, Blaylen has become restless and his thoughts continuously turn to the world beyond Owlhold. Several months ago he left Fallenfalcon and the Owlhold itself and made his way along the Green Road to Oeble. There he bought passage South aboard the river barge Reliant. He intended to hook up with adventuring bands in either Manywaters or Hawkgarth and also wanted to see the Land of Two Princes. Recent flooding and fast waters brought him farther than he intended and he has now found himself in Dapplegate many hundreds of miles down the Scelptar River.
